Mahalley Allen of Chico, and Cory A. Turner of San Francisco, announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Carl Junction High School in Carl Junction, Mo. She graduated in 1998 with a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and in 2005 with a doctorate in political science from the University of Kansas. Currently, Allen is a political science professor at California State University, Chico. Her parents are Mark and Kathleen Rogers of Springfield, Mo. and the late Randall Allen.
The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Corning Union High School and a 2005 graduate of California State University, Chico. Allen worked in Washington, DC, New York City and in Philadelphia from 2005-08 for an anti-poverty, nonprofit organization and for a presidential political campaign. He is currently studying law at the University of California-Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco. His parents are Lee and Judy Turner of Corning.
The wedding is slated for June 2 in San Francisco, with a reception to be held in Corning.
