    Favorite part of the job: The people. I don't get bored because everyone is different.

    What part of your job would you gladly give up? Sometimes people who just whine a lot.

    What do you like most about Corning? That it is small.

    What would you like to change in Corning? We need more stores here so we can keep everything local.

    What is the closest you've been to a famous person? Country-western singer George Jones, who played at one of the casinos in Oroville.

    Tell us about a life-changing experience: Having a child. It did a 360 on me. I waited until I was 41 to have her.

    If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? Keeping my health.

    Whom do you most admire and why? My husband. It took me long enough to find him and he is a very smart man, smart about life.

    What are your favorite places to go in the area? Elder Creek, Sacramento River, boating on Black Butte Lake.

    What was your first job? I worked at West Street Elementary School in the CETA Program when I was 19.

    If you were a superhero, what would your power be? I'd be Tinkerbell granting people their wishes.

    What's something you can't live without? Here lately, food. Since I gave up smoking two years ago.

    What's something about yourself that your friends might not know? I like professional baseball and watch it on the TV.

    Do you have any pet peeves? Rude or mean people

    Describe yourself in three words: Positive, upbeat, humorous

    What kind of pets do you have? Roxy, our black lab

    Hobbies/interests: Kara, going to San Francisco Giant games and I love traveling.

    Where do you get your news? The newspaper

    What's your favorite thing to do on a rainy day? Walking through a cemetery with an umbrella.

    What is your dream job? I feel like I have it.

    Most embarrassing moment: In Chico one day at a crosswalk, I tripped over my own feet and splat. My purse went flying right in the middle of the road in front of people, cars, everyone.

    What are some of your fondest memories? Bringing a child into the world; it's amazing at how they are made and how they grow.

    Favorite book: Mary Higgins Clark books

    What are your favorite foods? Mexican, especially chips and salsa.

    Worst fear: To come up pregnant like my daughter wants me to.

    Favorite musical group: I really like all kinds of music except heavy metal.

    If you were reincarnated as an animal, what would you be and why? A dog, because they are napping or eating all day.

    What's your guilty pleasure? Chocolate

    What quality in people do you most admire? Their honesty and integrity

    What was your favorite toy as a child? My two-wheeler bike when I was 8 years old.

    Favorite superhero? "Spiderman"

    Favorite television show: "Parenthood." It's about things that happen in real life.

    Worst television show: "The Simpsons"

    Favorite movie: "Wild Hogs" with John Travolta, hilarious.

    Worst movie ever made: "Waterworld" with Kevin Costner

    What would you do for a Klondike Bar? My husband and I eat them all the time, so I don't have to do anything for them.
