Chamber Chat: Dec. 14

Winners announced at Christmas Mixer

A thank you goes out to PremierWest Bank for hosting the Christmas Mixer Thursday. The atmosphere was festive and attendees enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, drinks and a good time visiting.

There were plenty of wonderful raffle prizes and the Chamber would like to thank all the businesses that donated prizes for this event. The support is appreciated.

Announcements were also made for the new Senior of the Year, Elaine Davis,; and the winners of Christmas Tree Lane: Best Day Appearance - Corning Patriots, Best Night Appearance - Corning Consignment and Best All Around - Bud Gott, decorated by Centennial High School.

Teacher Theresa Lamb from Centennial received the perpetual trophy for the school.

Last day to enter Lighted House Contest

Today is the last day to enter the free Lighted House Contest.

Entry forms can be picked up at the chamber office at 1110 Solano St.

On December 16th TRAX will host the Lighted House bus tour beginning at 6 p.m., at the Transportation Center.

Seating is limited so reservations must be made today, by calling 385-BUSS (2877).

Judging of the houses will take place between 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, so participants need to make sure their lights are on.

Winter Crush draws people near and far

Lucero Olive Oil's first Winter Crush was a great success last Saturday, with 1500 people coming as far away as Gilroy and San Jose.

Tour buses from Lincoln were filled with people wanting to experience the citrus crush and what Lucero Olive Oil has to offer.

Cars were lined up along Highway 99 and along Loleta Avenue, and shuttle buses which ran constantly picked up and dropped off passengers at two locations.

Throughout the day there were cooking demonstrations by top local chefs, local vendors showcasing products grown here in Northern California, and of course, live music to liven things up.

It was a beautiful day and most of the attendees are looking forward to next year's event.
