Police Logs: Oct. 8

Juan Magana Ramos, 30, of Corning, was arrested at 6:18 a.m. in the 2000 block of Blossom Avenue on suspicion of committing battery. Ramos was booked into the Tehama County Jail.

Lance Wayne Searcy, 23, of Corning, was arrested at 7:55 a.m. at Solano and West streets on a warrant for Fish and Game violations. Searcy was booked into the Tehama County Jail with no bail posted.

Shirley Stoops reported the theft of a scarecrow and a flower pot from residence located in the 200 block of Edith Avenue. Estimated loss is $25.

Marna Murr reported the theft of a doll and a Thanksgiving basket from her porch located in the 200 block of Edith Avenue. Estimated loss is $20.
