Dance and rock with summer fun
The Rockettes dance team will have sign-ups from 5 to 7 p.m. June 18 and from 10 a.m. to noon June 20 at Olive View School's gym on Almond Street. Monthly dues of $15 is required. For kids first through eighth grade.

Talk fire space, eat ice cream 
A free workshop on defensible fire space with an ice cream social for Tehama County residents will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 18 at Manton Grange Hall. Cal Fire personnel will talk about new firebreak requirements. Details: 527-3013, ext. 3. 

Shop for bargain sat rummage sale
Maywood Woman's Club will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 19 and June 20 at their clubhouse, 902 Mari n St. Proceeds from the sale will help support the club's scholarship fund program. 

Spend quality time at Gerber Park event
A Day in the Park will be featured from 10 a.m. to noon June 20 at Gerber Park. A balloon toss, face painting, informational booths and more. Hosted by the Gerber Chamber of Commerce and the Gerber Park Committee. For more information, call 385-1019 or 385-1691.

‘Memories' authors gather at museum
Authors for the 2009 Tehama County Memories edition will be available during the Tehama County Genealogical and Historical Society general meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. June 20 at Tehama County Museum, 275 C St., Tehama. Details: 529-4415.
