Center sizzlin’ hot, barbecue fundraiser

The Corning Senior Center will have a Fourth of July barbecue fundraiser Friday which will be hosted by Seniors for Seniors. The center will open at 9 a.m. for “Popcorn & Movie” with hot beverages and pastries. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. and an opportunity drawing will follow lunch with an old-fashioned American sing-a-long. For reservations, call 824-4727.

Monday, crab cake; Tuesday, taco salad (ethnic); Wednesday, sweet and sour pork (ethnic); Thursday, barbecue chicken. Closed Friday for holiday.

Reservations are mandatory for weekday lunches at the Corning Senior Center, 1015 Fourth Ave. Call 824-4727 or 527-2414. Lunch is 11:30 a.m. to noon. Suggested donations are $2.50 for seniors 60 and over and $6 for non-seniors.
