• Corning in the Morning — 8 a.m. Thursday the Friends of the Library are hosting the morning event at the Corning library, 740 Third Street. Come and learn what this group of volunteers does for your library. There will be refreshments and a chance to win a door prize so bring your business card.

• The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will not be meeting on the regular scheduled day, but at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 16 instead. There will be a car show meeting at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in working with the Car Show is welcome to attend.

• Tickets for the Corning Wine, Food & Art Festival, February 24 from 4 to 10 pm, and 25, from 12 to 8 pm, are on sale at the Chamber office. They are $10 per person per day. This includes a wine glass, one tasting and a $5 free slot play.

• March 1, the Federal Technology Center is providing a free class to learn the techniques of putting together responsive bids. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Chico at the Butte College Small Business Development Center, 19 Williamsburg Lane.
