First Christian Church holds special musical event
First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 1421 Marin St., will have special music by Marie Grandeen at the 11 a.m. worship, Sunday and instead of "Praise and Prayer" during the winter season, the church will have "Chats with Pastor Bill Bergman" at 1:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month, in the church's social hall. After the first of the year there will be adult education series on biblical leadership offered, details to come. The Christmas dinner has been set from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 21 following the worship service and FCC's next board meeting will be on Jan. 11. For more information about the church, call 824-5664.

Seventh-day Adventist Community Center
Starting Jan. 1, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church will be remodeling its facilities. During that time the church's Community Services Center will be giving out bread and emergency only clothing from 9 to 11 a.m. on Mondays. The church will not be receiving any further donations, except clothing, until after the remodeled facilities are reopened. The Seventh-day Adventist Community Center is located at 24052 Hoag Road, Corning. For more information call the church at 824-2753.
