Episcopal church honors patron saint
Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, corner of Marin and First streets, will honor it's patron saint with a special service 11 a.m., Sunday, followed by a Feast of Andrew's at 12:15 p.m. Bagpipe music will be presented and Rev. Mary Adair, Regional Missioner, will preside over the Holy Eucharist service with Eucharistric Minister Frank Whiting preaching the sermon. Ham and lamb will be provided for the feast. Participants are asked to bring side dishes.
Advent service held at First Christian
First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 1421 Marin St. is celebrating the Advent Season. Sunday, the second Sunday of the Advent season, the 11 a.m. worship service will have Pastor Bill's message, "Preparing the way for Readiness" from Mark 1:1-8 with the Advent Wreath text taken from Luke 1: 11-15. Singer and composer RJ Streeter will also provide special music for the service. For more information, call 824-2561.
