First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 1421 Marin St. is celebrating the Advent Season. Dec. 14, the third Sunday of the Advent season, the 11 a.m. worship service will have Pastor Bill's message, "Mother Mary's Joy", taken from Luke 1:26-33; 38 and 1 Thes. 5:16-24. 
The church's Christmas dinner will be at 1 p.m., Dec. 21. Ham will be provided. Participants should bring another hot dish, side dish or dessert. For more information, call 824-2561.
