Neighborhood goes fishing
Any visitors and anyone bringing a visitor gets to go "Ice Fishing" at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday School service at Neighborhood Full Gospel Church, corner of First and South streets. This special activity is a way for the church to bless "Fishers of Men" and their "fish". Sunday School will also include singing, memory verses and classes. The regular worship service will follow at 10:45 a.m., which will include communion.
Special music at First Christian
At the 11 a.m. Sunday service, First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 1421 Marin St., will have RJ Streeter and John Miller, providing music for the service. RJ will be performing one of her songs, "In the Beginning". A "Celebration of Life" service will take place at noon Jan. 10, for Virginia Moniz and the next Pot Luck and board meeting is Jan. 11.
Free gospel concert
People of all ages are invited to a free gospel concert at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, 625 Luther Road in Red Bluff. This evening of Southern Gospel at its finest will open with Corning's own Townley Family band followed by the nationally renowned group from Tennessee, the Dixie Melody Boys.
