Tri-County Sams Hold Summer Campouts
The Tri-County Sams, Chapter of the Good Sam Club held their July
Campout at Heritage RV Park in Corning with eight rigs in attendance and two
drive-ins. Letters were received from Butte Home Hospice and St. Elizabeth
Hospice thanking the club for the recent donations of $50 each.
The chapter voted to send a $50
donation to the Guide Dogs for the Deaf and $100 to Red Cross of Butte County
for the fire fighters or families that lost their homes in the recent fires.
Pres. Wayne Barry reported that the Northern California Good Sam Club will hold a coat drive for the needy at the September State Committee meeting in Woodland. Due to a mix up, trail bosses were Retta Pereira and Darlene Dickison.
The Rec Hall was decorated in Fourth of
July decorations. Retta Pereira
and Darlene Dickison will also be trail bosses at the August Campout to be held
at the Fawndale Oaks RV Park, Redding.
The June campout was
held at the Aurora RV Park and Marina in Nice, with seven rigs in
attendance. Trail Bosses were Rich
and Sheila Sol and the chapter held a breakfast to celebrate Mother's and
Father's Day together due to the May Campout being cancelled because of the
terrible hot weather and illnesses of members.
The May meeting was
held at the home of Gayle and Bill Gallaty in Orland, with seven rigs
represented.

self-contained RV that lives in Butte, Glenn or Tehama County that would like
