Drug arrest in Corning
Jerry Lee Billingsley, 23, of Red Bluff, was arrested by Corning police on drug-related charges at 9:38 a.m. Wednesday during a traffic stop at Houghton and Rice avenues.
A passenger in the vehicle who is on probation, Robert Moen, 21, of Red Bluff, allowed the officer to conduct a search of the vehicle, the Corning police reported.
During the search an officer reportedly located five methadone pills packaged in a bindle, which Billingsley admitted was his.
Billingsley was booked into the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of possession of a narcotic controlled substance. Bail was set at $15,000.
Moen was arrested on a Tehama County warrant.
