Letter: Corning parade shines brightest

I have just returned home from watching the downtown Corning Christmas Parade and Lighting Festival.

I have lived in big cities all over the globe - London, Sydney, Australia, San Francisco and Chicago - and have never quite seen such a splendid event such as the one that Corning puts on each year. In staging such a remarkable, inspiring and extremely well-attended event, Corning certainly puts many a larger city to shame.

Certainly, well-deserved kudos and congratulations must go out to all who arrange, help and participate in this ever-popular and ever-growing event.

I, for one, am glad to call Corning my home!
