Business Spotlight - Corning Auto Center

Business Spotlight - Corning Auto Center, 1820 Solano Street, is our Business Spotlight of the Week. Their phone number is 824-1357 and the hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. Dick King is the owner of Corning Auto Center and he was born and grew up in Corning. He is married and has raised six children. 

King has owned Corning Auto Center for approximately 20 years and has four  other employees. They do smog checks, and just about everything that has to do with car repairs. King has a saying that is on their T-shirts, "Give it a Think". He tries to be honest with his customers and is known for his good work. Corning Auto Center has been a Chamber member for many years. 

Free Electronic Waste Recycling - From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, there will be a free public e-waste recycling event at the Red Bluff High School, 1260 Union St. in Red Bluff. Electronic Waste Management located in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a state-approved e-waste collector and has been holding free public e-waste recycling events for the past three years all over California. All material collected is recycled by a state-approved e-waste recycler, ASL Recycling. Drop off is free and there is no limit to the number or items that may be brought in. The event is open to any California business, resident, school, etc.  Electric items that are accepted include televisions, fax machines, VCR recorders and DVDs, monitors, printers, cell phones, computers, toner cartridges, video game systems, computer components telephone equipment and more. Chamber Newsletter Flyers - The Corning Chamber of Commerce's monthly newsletter is sent out the last day of the month in order to receive it on the first day of the following month. If you would like to include a flyer in the June newsletter please remember to bring 350 copies by Friday May 23, with your check made out to the Corning Chamber.
