Corning in the Evening

Business Spotlight - Corning Medical Associates, 155 Solano Street has been picked as the Chamber's Business of the Week. Don and Connie Massey came to Corning in 1973 after Don finished his PA classes at Stanford to work with Dr. Ingle and then Dr. Cooper. He has been at Corning Medical since 1986. 
Connie Massey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. They have been members of the Corning Chamber for many years. 

Corning Medical currently has 19 employees and at times up to 22. Employees include two physicians, three physician assistants, (one part time), and a visiting cardiologist once a week. 

Corning Medical is open six days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. except on Wednesdays when they are open until 8:30 p.m. They are also open every other Sunday. Weekend hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Corning Medical has a bilingual staff and they take all types of insurance. Corning Medical also does drug testing.

Preparing for Emergencies - 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., tomorrow, at the Job Training Center, 724 Main St. in Red Bluff, the Tehama County Employer Advisory Council in cooperation with the Employment Development Department present "Preparing for Emergencies". 

Amy Travis the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator of Tehama County Health Services Agency will be the featured speaker. 

Topics of discussion will be: Conduct a risk assessment; Create a crisis communication plan; Continuity plan; a plan to stay in business; Emergency supplies kit; What do we need to survive; and Review and practice your plan with your employees.

Corning in the Evening - At 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12, the Comfort Inn will host the monthly get together at 910 Hwy 99W, next to Starbucks. This is your opportunity to meet other business owners and interested citizens and to find out what is happening in the community. Bring your business card for a chance to win a door prize. Refreshments will be served.

Ice Cream Social - At 7 p.m., Friday, June 13, you are invited to an old fashion ice cream social at the El Camino United Methodist Church, 8345 Hwy 99W, in Gerber. There will be homemade ice cream desserts and live music.
