Police Logs: Oct. 7

Norman Zuppan reported the theft of battery from a lift at the Shell Gas Station near Solano Street. Estimated loss is $400.

Edward Gerney reported the ongoing problem of decorative blocks being stolen from a parking lot located in the 600 block of Edith Avenue. Estimated loss is $150.

Juan Luis Cuevas Garcia, 20, of Corning, was arrested at 7:37 p.m., following a traffic stop at Highway 99W and South Avenue, on Glenn County warrants for court violations. Garcia was booked into the Tehama County Jail in lieu of $60,000 bail.

Manuel Jacinto Ramirez, 24, of Corning, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. near the 7-Eleven Store on Solano Street on suspicion of driving while under the influence. Ramirez was booked into the Tehama County Jail.
