Charles 'Curley' LaVern Pense
Charles "Curley" LaVern Pense died on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Charles was born on September 19, 1925 to Loyal and Nellie
Pense, in Oklahoma.
Charles
was a long-time resident of Corning. He was also a long time member of the Improved
Order of Redman 203, and the Independent Corning Grange. Curley was a truck
driver for more than 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing card games,
football and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Curley
was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Ruth M. Pense; sisters, Flora
Dagen and Marilyn Judd; and brother, Jerry Pense.
Curley
is survived by sister, Ina Treat of Corning; son, Robert Pense of Redding;
daughters, Billie (Larry) Dagen and Lonnetta (John) Fuller, both of Corning;
son, Terry (Karla) Waters of Chico; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside
services for Curley will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 27, at the Sunset Hill
Cemetery in Corning. Pastor Bud Chauvin of Calvary Chapel, Chico will
officiate.
