Eagle Lake dock will be pulled
In advance of the winter season, the Lassen National Forest managementwill remove the boarding dock at the low water boat ramp at Eagle Lake.
This move is intended to prevent ice, wind and wave action from damaging the dock. The boat ramp will be available until Dec. 31, or until weather makes it unsafe to use.

Parent Club Bunko is today
Corning High School Parents Club will host a Bunko night starting at 4 p.m. today in the CUHS cafeteria. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. There will be prizes to give away.

Mobile pet vaccinations set
Richfield Feed and Supply will be the location for the next clinic, from 10 a.m.-1 a.m. today.
Costs vary on the typ of shots. Only cash will be accepted.

Gun raffle scheduled today
The Paskenta Hall will hold a fall dinner, gun raffle and dance today.
A social hour starts at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6. The dance follows with music provided by Roy Dyer and the Bigguns.
Tickers are $15, $6 for children 6-12 $6, and free for those under 5.
Tickets are available at Rabobank, the Corning Chamber of Commerce office and the Flournoy store.
Woman's Club to celebrate
The Los Molinos Woman's Club will hold its 100th Anniversary Celebration from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. today at the Los Molinos Veteran's Hall, 7980 Sherwood Blvd.

A Richfield Neighborhood Watch meeting will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the Richfield school.
The Tehama County Sheriff's Department will share winter prepardeness tips. There will also be discussion on additional safety precautions for the holidays.

Turkey giveaway on Nov. 19
Corning Christian Assistance Program will give out free turkeys starting at 8 a.m. Nov. 19 at the Corning Christian Assistance center at 710 Fourth St.

Leaf pick-up reminder
The Corning Public Works Department is asking residents to please place leaf piles one foot away from the curb so leaves do not obstruct street gutters.
The city has tentatively scheduled the week of Nov. 19 to begin leaf pickup. Tree branches, brush and other debris will not be picked up. For more information, call Public Works at 824-7029.
