Jenkins graduates as a logistics specialist

Marine Lance Corp. Savana Jenkins, a Corning High alum, has graduated from the Logistics Embarkation Specialist school at Camp Johnson, N.C.

Jenkins first reported for basic training in military discipline and studies, Marine Corp. values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills at the Marine Corps Recruiting Depot Parris Island, S. C. She graduated from basic training in September. In February, upon graduating as a specialist from Camp Johnson, Jenkins was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal for finishing first in her class. She reported to duty to Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 38, Marine Air Control Group 38, Third Marine Aircraft Wing at Miramar, San Diego, Calif.

Jenkins is a 2008 graduate of Corning High. She is the daughter of Marc and Alice Jenkins of Corning.
