Jennifer Marie Thompson
Jennifer
Marie Thompson passed away on Saturday; June 28, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center
in Redding, Calif. Jennifer was born on June 24, 1971 in Bavaria, Germany.
When
Jennifer was four months old, her family returned to the United States. She
lived in Red Bluff for most of her life, graduating from Red Bluff High School
in 1988. She attended Shasta College, and graduated from C.S.U., Chico with
honors, in 1996.
During
her youth, Jennifer enjoyed archery, swimming, traveling, fishing, and time
spent in her dad's shop. In high school, she participated in FFA, and showed
lambs. While attending college, she worked as an insurance sales person
achieving recognition for exceeding statewide sales goals.
Jennifer
is survived by parents, Irene and Lonnie Thompson; grandmother, Madolyn Wright
Burton; aunts and uncles, Linda (Tony) Durrer, Stan (Nancy) Thompson, A.W.
(Mel) Thompson, Kelly Thompson, Melvin Thompson, and Jerry Wright; and numerous
cousins and friends.
Gravesite
services will be held for Jennifer at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, at Oak Hill
Cemetery in Red Bluff. The family requests donations are made to the Special
Olympics, in lieu of flowers.
