Kham Pheng Thamvongkham

Kham Pheng Thamvongkham, 52, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in his Corning family home. Kham was born June 6, 1952, in Huaysai Bokeo Laos.

Kham moved from Laos to San Francisco in 1980. Kham married La Khamorn in 1982 in San Pablo, Calif. The couple has lived in the Corning area for the last 18 years. Kham served six years with the North State Security Company and found satisfaction with helping keep people safe. He enjoyed Bruce Lee movies and held a Black Belt in karate. Kham was known by his family to be an image of love, kindness, strength and devotion.

Kham is survived by his beloved wife, La Khamorn of Corning; daughters, Sandy, Linda, and Argela Thamvongkham of Corning; and sons, Billy Thamvongkham of Corning and Rocky Thamvongkham of Redding.

Services for Kham were held July 10, at the Hall Brothers Corning Mortuary, with the burial at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
