Pvt. Nichole Lawson

Army National Guard Pvt. Nichole Lawson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC.

During the nine weeks of training, Lawson studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values; physical fitness; received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training; drill and ceremony, marching; rifle marksmanship; armed and unarmed combat; map reading; field tactics; military courtesy; military justice system; basic first aid; foot marches, and field training exercises.

Lawson's parents, David and Lorraine Lawson, reside on Arleta Court, Sacramento, CA.

The private's uncle and aunt, Norman and Louise Yates, reside on Foster Road, Corning, CA.

In 2006, Lawson graduated from Rio Cazadero High School, Sacramento.
