Briefs: Free household waste pickup

Corning Disposal will collect household hazerdous waste from 8 a.m.-noon March 3, March 9 and March 23 its Highway 99W location.

Tehama County Landfill on Plymire Road will collect waste from 8 a.m.-noon March 2 and March 16.

Waste items include, among other items, grease, pesticides, fertilizers, oil-based paints, stains, solvents and pool chemicals.

Ag scholarships offered

Tehama County Farm Bureau will be awarding $3,000 in scholarships for graduates from Tehama County high schools who will be attending an agricultural trade school, community college or university, or those enrolled in an agricultural trade school.
