Felony Sentences: Man gets 4-year sentence for growing pot
Bret Alan Phillips, 49, of Red Bluff, was sentenced to four years in state prison on Monday after he pleaded guilty in October to cultivating marijuana with a special allegation of having a prior felony conviction.
Investigators conducted a parole search at Phillips' Dream Valley Road residence and located several marijuana plants.
Additional Tehama County Superior Court sentences:
Xavier Alexander Kerestesy, 36, was sentenced on Monday to five years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to two counts of lewd act upon a child.
Kerestesy sexually molested the minor victim on two separate occasions.
David Nathan Simmons, 23, was sentenced on Monday to three years, eight months in state prison after he had pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon, possession of concentrated cannabis and failure to appear in court.
