Felony Sentences: Man receives 9 years

A 50-year-old Red Bluff man was sentenced to nine years in state prison this week after he pleaded guilty to committing a lewd act upon a child, felony assault with intent to commit a crime on a victim under 18, sexual battery by restraint and false imprisonment by violence.

Jose Armando Garcia, 50, of Red Bluff, was arrested by Red Bluff police in August. The investigation revealed Garcia had physically restrained a 7-year-old child while committing a sexual act.

Jaime Agustin Huerta-Sanchez, 33, was sentenced to two years in state prison after he pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana for sale.
