Crime Reports: Man arrested in chase
A Los Molinos man was arrested Friday night for evading a police officer after he reportedly failed to stop and instead accelerated to more than 90 mph on Antelope Boulevard south of Highway 99E near Los Molinos, the Tehama County Sheriff's Department reported.
Eugene Rogers, 59, suffered minor injuries when his Explorer crashed into a guard rail before it crossed the highway's double yellow lines into on the opposite lane. It traveled into an empty field where it rolled twice, the department reported.
Rogers was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was treated and then arrested, the department reported.
Sheriff's deputies were assisting the CHP on a domestic battery report about 10 p.m.
Rogers was booked into the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of evading with willful disregard for safety and domestic violence with injury. Bail was set at $65,000.
Residential burglaries reported
Deputies reported sometime between Nov. 28 and Sunday, someone entered the San Benito Avenue home of Michael Boyd, 65 of Gerber, and stole electronics and other items.
Boyd's neighbor reported a burglary to her residence as well, said deputies. It appears someone entered her San Benito Avenue residence on Sunday sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and stole miscellaneous belongings.
TV, household goods stolen
Nancy Clark, 58, of Red Bluff, reported someone broke into her Jayco fifth-wheel trailer parked on Stoll Road in Red Bluff, sometime between Nov. 7 and Sunday and stole a flat screen television, towels, cooking utensils, food, spices and other household-type items, deputies said. Estimated value of loss is $2,030.
Felony arrest
A Gerber man wanted on three felony warrants, has drug charges added to the list after the Tehama County Sheriff's Department reported finding 0.8 grams of methamphetamine in a plastic baggie attached to his wrist with rubber bands.
The deputies were serving the warrants on 37-year-old Antone Durrer about 8:10 p.m. Monday at Ventura Avenue home.
Durrer was booked into the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and the warrants. Bail was set at $315,000.
