Drugs found on bicyclist

Jeffery Williams, 50, of Los Molinos, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Thursday on Stanford Avenue in Los Molinos when 1.3 grams of methamphetamine was found in his pocket after he reportedly consented to a search, the Tehama County Sheriff's Office reported.

Williams had been stopped while riding his bicycle.

He was booked into the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $15,000.

Railroad copper wire reported stolen

More than 10,600 feet of copper wire, with a value of $10,650, was reported stolen from California Northern Railroad just north of Capay Road on Thursday.

A nearby resident reported seeing two people rolling up wire and placing it into the bed of a red Dodge pickup, the Tehama County Sheriff's Office reported.

The department reported that 10,650 feet of solid strand, noninsulated wire that controls the crossing arms had been taken from the poles running alongside the tracks near Kirkwood Road.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

A Gerber man was arrested and 7.5 grams of concentrate cannibas seized following a traffic stop about 7:50 p.m. Thursday on Highway 99E, the Tehama County Sheriff's Office reported.

Jesse Aulabaugh, 29, was booked at the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of possession of concentrated cannabis. Bail was set at $15,000.
