Cash register stolen at market
A cash register containng about $260 in cash was stolen after someone smashed a window to gain entry into the Richfleld Schoolhouse Market on Alameda Road about 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday, the Tehama County Sheriff's Department reported.
Deputies responded to a burlgary alarm at the site, but by the time they arrived at the scene, no one was around, and the cash register from the counter was missing.
Specialzed Fiber burglarized
About $400 worth of copper and $300 worth of aluminum was taken from a locked storage area at Specialized Fiber in Corning, the unsecured building at 22985 South Ave., Corning, the Tehama County Sheriff's Department reported.
The burglary took place between 3:30 p.m. Monday at 7 a.m. Tuesday, the department reported.
The burglars entered the facility from the rear and cut through a chainlink enclosure to remove the property, the department reported.
