VBS at First Baptist

High Power Soccer will be the name of the game during a special Vacation Bible School program at First Baptist Church, 506 Colusa, of Corning. All boys and girls ages five years old through the fifth grade (Children entering kindergarten and those who have completed the fifth grade.) are invited to participate in the VBS, scheduled from Monday through Thursday, July 14 to July 17.

The four-day program will begin at the church at 9 a.m. each day and close at 12:40 p.m. Activities will move from the church to a nearby soccer field. The boys and girls will be instructed in basic soccer skills and participate in fun, informal games. Refreshments and a brief Bible study will be included in the program.

Ryan Reilly, director, says this will be an opportunity for kids to get some healthful summer exercise and a great time for children to learn something about the game of soccer, which is growing in popularity throughout the U.S. He would like to encourage area boys and girls to be at the church at 9 a.m., Monday, July 17, for the start of the High Power Soccer Vacation Bible School. For questions, contact George Keck, 824-1839.
