Student with pills
Red Bluff Police Department School Resource Officer Michael Coley was contacted by a sheriff's deputy on Aug. 18, concerning a Red Bluff High School student who possibly furnished another student with drugs.
Officer Coley contacted the 17-year-old male juvenile at the school and during a search of the student located four pills believed to be prescribed medication and marijuana seeds, reported the police department.
The juvenile was taken into custody and booked into the Tehama County Juvenile Justice Detention Center on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription.
Traffic stop leads to arrest
When Corning police officers stopped a vehicle at 10:58 a.m. on Monday at Lincoln and McKinley avenues, the passenger, Ginny Torres, 20, of Red Bluff, falsely identified herself because she was wanted on a warrant out of Tehama County for probation violation, police said.
Torres was arrested and while being booked in to the Tehama County Jail admitted to being in possession of methampetamine, according to a police report. Torres was booked on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, transporation of methamphetamine and false identification to a peace officer. She was released on $40,500 bail.
