Tehama County Superior Court prison sentences
• Christopher Michael Rosales - transportation of a controlled substance, special allegation-armed with firearm - sentenced to 4 years in state prison
Rosales was convicted in February 2008 and granted formal probation. He violated probation when he was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol as well as driving on a suspended license in July. He was sentenced on Aug. 9.
• Sam Bailey Stewart - Failure to appear on own recognizance - sentenced to 3 years in state prison
Stewart was arrested on drug charges in August 2009 and released by the court on his own recognizance. He then failed to contact probation and failed to appear at his scheduled court hearing. Prison sentence handed down on Aug. 9.
• Jamie Suzanne Robinson - grand theft - sentenced to 2 years in state prison
Corning police arrested Robinson in July 2007 concerning theft of items through the use of a credit card. She pleaded guilty to grand theft and was originally granted formal probation. In July she admitted to violating her probation when she tested positive for marijuana and methamphetamine.
• Ronnie Joe Vawney - unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle with a prior - sentenced to 2 years in state prison
In July Vawney was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving a stolen vehicle he crashed into an orchard and then fled the scene on foot. A short time later a witness to the crash noticed Vawney walking along the street and was able to identify him as the driver of the stolen car. Vawney pleaded guilty on July 13 and received his sentence on Aug. 9.
• Megan Yvonne Walker - Unlawful sexual intercourse - sentenced to 16 months in state prison
Walker pleaded guilty on July 28, 2008 and was granted formal probation. On Aug. 2, she admitted to violating her probation by failing to contact probation and was found in possession of stolen property and cocaine. Walker was sentenced on Aug. 9.
