Police Logs: July 4, 2009

Saturday

Michelle Turner reported the theft of a blue nursing bag, “Accent Care,” from her unlocked vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Marin Street. Estimated loss is $350.

Jay Allen Ramos, 60, of Corning was arrested at 11:46 p.m. at Fig Lane and Link Street on suspicion of being drunk in public. Ramos was booked into the Tehama County Jail.

Monday

Kenneth Jason Sams, 31, of Corning was arrested at 1:09 p.m. on the 1500 block of Highway 99W on suspicion of burglary. Sams was booked into the Tehama County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Tuesday

Rita Urban reported possible theft of fuel and damage to fuel tank on her vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue.

Mindy Sanchez reported attempted theft of gas from her vehicle parked on the 900 block of Almond Street.
