Briefs: Wine festival is Feb. 21
The Corning Rotary Club's annual Wine, Food & Art Festival will be held from 4-10 p.m. Feb. 24 and noon to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Rolling Hills Casino Carlino's Event Center.
Wine and beer tasting will be featured at the festival, as well as a clam chowder cook-off, casino chef's cooking demonstrations, and art display from members of the Red Bluff Art Association, Tehama County Photography Club, and Corning Union High School students.
Admission is $10 per day, and includes a wine glass, first wine tasting drink, and $5 free slot play. Additional wine tastings are $1 each.
Weatherization services available
Tehama County Community Action Agency is offering Weatherization Services on a limited basis for elderly, disabled, and low income home owners within Tehama County.

Richfield Neighborhood Watch
Richfield Neighborhood Watch is inviting all Richfield residents to a telemarketing scam presentation provided by The Tehama County Sheriff's Department at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 at the Richfield Fire Station.

Ham radio class offered
The Glenn Amateur Radio Society is sponsoring a class for the Technician Class amateur radio (ham) license. This class will be held at the Orland Moose Lodge, 605 Fifth St., Orland.
Classes will begin on Feb. 19, and each Sunday thereafter from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for 10 weeks, excluding Easter. The licensing exam will be done on April 29.
Cost of the book for the class and the cost of the exam is $30, due at the first meeting.

4-H Camp positions available
Tehama County 4-H Camp is recruiting teens to staff the 2012 camp.
Tehama County 4-H Camp will be held July 14-18, at Camp Tehama near Mineral. The program is seeking teens who are enthusiastic, responsible, caring, like working with kids, like the outdoors and can work as a team to be a part of this year's staff.
All interested teens 14 and older as of July 1 are encouraged to attend the 4-H Camp staff informational meeting to be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Friday at Wetter Hall, 1740 Walnut St. in Red Bluff.

Benefit dinner of cancer victim
Knights of Columbus is holding a dinner, dance and raffle to benefit Debbie Guzman, and the costs associated with her fight against breast cancer.
The event will be held Feb. 18, at the Corning Veterans Memorial Hall on Solano St.
The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner is 6-8:30 p.m. and dancing and entertainment continues throughout the night. Cost is $10. Children 5 and under are free.

Retired teachers to meet
The California Retired Teachers Association, Mt. Lassen, Division 9 is holding a meeting at 11 a.m. on Feb. 13, at the Federated Church of Orland, 709 First Street. For directions to the church please call Jan Kinnier at 865-3660 or Shirley Russell at 865-9555.
Cost for the luncheon prepared by the Federated Church Women will be $10. Judy Cline, Flight Care Nurse will present a program on Enloe Flight Care. The entertainment will be Shirley Russell, bell tree, Martin Trang, flute and piano, and Charlie Troutman, a soloist. Fun activities will also be enjoyed by all.
The main focus of the meeting will be patriotic and making donations to our scholarship fund. Several door prizes will be given away.
