Felony Sentences: Man gets 24 years for molestation
Augustine Reyes Morga, 34 of Gerber, a registered sex offender who was arrested in Tehama County on May 7 and charged with sexual assault of a child, has been sentenced to 24 years in state prison by the Tehama County Superior Court.
Facing four felony counts of sexual crimes on a child, Morga pleaded guilty on Oct. 23 to two counts of sexual penetration by force with a victim under 14 in a plea agreement with the Tehama County District Attorney's Office.
Morga sexually molested the female victim on two occasions, threatening the child if she told anyone. In 2004, Morga was convicted of lewd act upon a child and sentenced to six years in state prison.
In other recent Tehama County Superior Court prison sentences:
Cody James Woolbert, 21, of Los Molinos, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison for sexual penetration by foreign object, and oral copulation with a person under the age of 14 and 10 years younger.
He was arrested April 18 and pleaded guilty to the charges.
Shane Allen Holtzclaw, 29, was sentenced to two years and eight months in state prison for evading an officer with willful disregard to public safety and receiving stolen property, a motor vehicle. He pleaded guilty on Nov. 5.
Sherman Anthony Hatfield, 32, was to two years in state prison for possession of marijuana for sale. He pleaded guilty on Oct. 16 and will serve is time in the Tehama County Jail.
