The daughter of Richard Schies of Yuba City and Annette Schies of San Rafael, she is a 2006 graduate of Live Oak High School.

In addition, she earned an associate degree in 2009 from Yuba College.

Air Force Airman Jordan K. Hunt earned distinction as an honor graduate from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

A 2011 graduate of Yuba City High School, he is the son of Sumreay Joseph of Yuba City and grandson of Rae Potts of Marysville.
