Do you know who this is... And the winner is...

Can you name the people in this photograph which was printed in the Jan. 7, 1986 issue of the Corning Observer? If you want to take a guess call the Observer at 824-5464 or come by the office at 1208 Solano St. Joyce Lequia called and correctly identified the people in Saturday's archive picture as Dick and Rosemary Hawkey and Vern and Earleen Freitas. The title with the picture read, "Change of ownership - Dick and Rosemary Hawkey took over operation of The Shoe Tree the first of the year from Vern and Earleen Freitas. The Freitas' the Solano Street shoe and clothing establishment eight years ago from Monte and Louse Larsen. They plan to spend more time with their family. The Hawkey's are planning their grand opening celebration to coincide with July's Heritage Days celebration."
