Skateboard Park association to meet Tuesday

The association is made up of 168 volunteers who are making an effort to put in a legal and safe skate and bike park as skateboarding is prohibited in many areas of the city. Areas include school property where violators can be cited a fine up to $102.

The group will meet next at the City Council meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, at City Hall, 794 Third St. At that meeting, the council will be responding to the association's request for an update on property acquisition for the park and the association would like to encourage the community to show their support by attending.
