Report of gun fire locks down Los Molinos school

Los Molinos Elementary School was locked down about noon today after students reported hearing gun fire nearby.

The lock-down was lifted by 12:30, Los Molinos Unified School District officials said.

Officials said that students reported seeing someone off-campus in a pickup with a shotgun, and then heard a shot fired.

Tehama County sheriff’s deputies are searching the area, but have not reported any suspicious activity.
