Man gets back at slot machine

A Madera County man was arrested June 2 for punching a slot machine at Rolling Hills Casino.

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office was called around 7 p.m. when Rolling Hills Casino security observed a man punching a video slot machine six times, causing a large crack in the video screen. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Richard William Wiegand, 49, of Madera was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and booked into the Tehama County Jail. Bail was set at $10,000; he was no longer in custody Thursday.
