Bulldogs eliminated by Bulls

Los Molinos High's volleyball team made its first-ever appearance in the California Interscholastic Federation state playoffs on Tuesday, but unfortunately their opponents had been there before.

The Bulldogs entered play with a record of 35-8 and were the eighth-seeded team of the eight in the bracket, and they took the court against 33-1 Branson, the No. 1 seed and defending state champions.

Playing at the College of Marin in Kentfield, the Lady Bulldogs were banished by the Bulls 25-6, 25-14, 25-11.

Despite not coming back with championship banners from the state or Division V playoffs, it was still a banner season for Los Molinos, which set a new school record for wins in a season and played in the section championships for the first as well.

They will also put essentially the same squad on the court next season, as they lose just two players to graduation.
