Westside drops weather-shortened contest

The Westside Braves lost a thunder-and-lightning shortened game June 20 in Red Bluff, 2-0.

The first game of a scheduled doubleheader was called in the middle of the fourth inning, just long enough to count as an official game under American Legion rules.

Austin Arbogast allowed just one hit in four innings of work for another unlucky defeat.

Tyler McIntyre, Trevor Rau and Casey Cleland all had base hits for the Braves (10-13), who hosted Willows Thursday and play a pair against the Redding Sidewinders at 5 p.m. today.
