Volleyballers net All-League honors

Whether passing, setting, spiking or defending, a large number of tri-county volleyball players posted seasons that earned them the respect of their peers and recognition on their respective all-league squads.
A total of 29 area players received all-league honors, with three league MVPs and two Coach of the Year Awards among them.
Los Molinos High's ' Clarivel Castillo was recognized as the MVP of the Five Star League; Mattie Myers from Colusa High was named MVP of the Mid-Valley League and Audra Jones from Hamilton High earned the same honor in the Sacramento Valley League.
Getting the nod as Coach of the Year for the Mid-Valley League was Colusa's JayAnne Saso, with Willows' Carol Martin being recognized by the Sacramento Valley League.
