Los Molinos girls edged at Esparto

The Los Molinos varsity girls basketball team staged a valiant comeback in the fourth quarter, but fell a bucket short in Esparto on Tuesday, 38-37.

The Lady Bulldogs were in a 17-all deadlock at halftime but Esparto picked up the tempo in the third quarter to enter the fourth ahead by eight.

Los Molinos clawed back fiercely to get within a single point of tying, but the hosts hung on to oust the Lady Bulldogs.

No individual scoring details were available at press time.

Los Molinos (3-2 MVL, 6-9) hosted Williams on Friday and Hamilton comes to LM on Tuesday.
