Tucker Mesker softball tourney planned
The first annual Tucker Mesker Classic memorial men’s softball tournament is being played Aug. 8-9 at Yost Park in Corning. It is a 10-team tournament with a $250 entry fee. Details: 824-3420.

NHSFR in bareback
Blaine Davies, an 11th grade student of Corning High School, has earned a position on the California state high school rodeo team and will be traveling to Farmington, N.M., from July 19-25 for the National High School Finals Rodeo.
He will compete in bareback riding among 1,500 total contestants from 41 states, five Canadian provinces and Australia in the world’s largest rodeo.
